Silly kids

Piper pulled Adaleigh's carseat in front of the swing and was pushing Adaleigh with her foot. They both seemed to enjoy it.
Cy and Piper ate their dinner like this tonight. They stayed in their high chairs and ate all their dinner so I can not complain. Maybe they need to sit like this for every meal.

First Day of School

Where did our summer go? Today was Landon's first day of school. I can't believe he is in third grade. He has a great teacher and is excited to have some of his friends in his class. Getting back on a schedule with strict bedtime is going to be hard. We have had so much fun this summer and I hate to see it end!

Spare Time

I have been having lots of fun with mom's embroidery machine in my spare time (8pm-5am). I learned real quick not to do anything with Cy and Piper awake after they unplugged my machine twice during the middle of a design. Now I have to get all the other things I use to do during this time done during the day so I can spend time at night making fun things. My kids and their cousins have a long list of things they want me to practice on.

Having Fun

Missing Daddy

Zack left to go out of town today. Mia has had a really hard time with him leaving. When we dropped him off at the airport she started crying. On our way home she said, "I had no idea it would be this hard."

Pat Smith Camp

Last week Landon attended the Pat Smith Wrestling Camp at Blackman. He loved it. He said, "And I thought Daddy knew everything about wrestling!" It was a great camp and Landon is ready to wrestle!!

We will miss the Andersons

K and C are the cutest couple and have two beautiful daughters. They moved to Murfreesboro after they were first married. It has been so fun to see them grow together and add two sweet girls to their family. I was pregnant with K with the twins and with Adaleigh. She is an amazing woman and great example to me. C will be attending Law School in Florida and we are so sad to see them go. It has been so fun getting to know both of them. They will be missed!!

We had the great pleasure of watching C the day before they left. She was so cute and funny. She loved following the kids around. She would play with one for awhile and then find someone else to play with. Logan had gotten a balloon for his birthday that sings "Happy Birthday". She loved to hear it and would dance around. We had fun playing with C and will miss her!!

Logan's Birthday

Logan turned 4 on July 8th. Logan is such a funny boy. I always joke that I hope his big smile will get him through life because he has no desire to learn anything. He doesn't know his letters or numbers and has no desire to learn how to write his name. I work with him all the time and he just doesn't get it. Landon and Mia have tried to work with him too, but have concluded he just doesn't care. He is all about having fun and playing. If he can get someone else to do something for him, even better. Somehow he always manages to get one of his siblings to do his chores. His big smile, dark brown eyes, and long eyelashes can melt anyone's heart. He is the most loving boy and big brother. He loves Adaleigh and takes very good care of her. She just beams when he is near her. He is always giving hugs, kisses, and an "I love you". We love Logan and he brings alot of laughter to our family!!

July 4th

Saturday, July 4th started early and messy. I had stayed up way too late the night before and was not ready to get up when Piper and Cy woke up before 5am. (Zack had to be at work at 4am so he was up around 3am) I did get up with them, fed them breakfast, put a movie on, and made sure everything was closed, locked, and out of reach before I laid down on the couch. I dosed in and out until Adaleigh woke up around 6. I wanted her to go back to sleep so I fed her upstairs in the quite of her room. I could hear Piper and Cy downstairs. They were laughing and seemed to be having a good time. Little did I know just how much fun they were having. When I came downstairs I walked into the family room first and this was the first thing I saw.

Yes, that is a ketchup bottle that was full only minutes earlier. They had made it all through the room and disposed of it by the door near the steps. I entered the room further to see ketchup all over both chairs and ottomans, the rug, and all over the floor. It was not what I wanted to deal with but was glad it was not mustard. As I went into the kitchen to get cleaner and towels to clean the family room, I found this. That is flax seeds, coconut flakes, plums, and whatever else was in my refrigerator all over the kitchen floor. This is where I found Piper and Cy. Since they had dumped most of what was in my refrigerator out they decided to push the water button inside the refrigerator to add a little water to the mix. It was one giant mess!!! It took me forever to clean it all up. I am still finding flax seeds. Underneath the refrigerator was just as bad as in front of the refrigerator. I remained calm and put both of them in time out. I did not notice that there were plums close to them. They sat there and smooshed plums with their feet. I didn't know if I could remain calm any longer so I gave up and let them go outside to play in the back yard while I cleaned.
The day did get better even though we missed having all our cousins here this year. Grandma, Mama Mary, and Grand-daddy came over to enjoy the day! The fireworks were close to our house this year so we just stood in the front yard and watched them.
Landon, Mia, and Logan had fun with 4th of July tattoos. The best picture I could get of the three little ones together.

Wonderful Men in My Life

I let Father's Day go by without posting anything about the wonderful men in my life. I will start with Zack. I am so thankful for Zack. He is a wonderful husband and father. He works hard for our family. I know it sounds cheesy but he is my best friend. He always finds a way to make me smile and laugh. I love him very much and I am so grateful for him.

I have also been blessed with a wonderful father and two great brothers. My dad spoils me rotten even to this day and he is the best grand-daddy! I have always loved having two older brothers. I think every girl needs an older brother. Just the other day my brother sent me a text telling me he loved me and hoped I was having a great day. It was intended for his wife, but I loved getting it.

I love and appreciate these wonderful men in my life!!
