Baby gifts and St. Patrick's Day

I think the chair won

We are not very good about getting to church early or even on time for that matter, but this past Sunday we were actually a few minutes early. I had all the kids sitting in the pew quietly. Piper needed to make one last trip to the bathroom before the meeting started. Mia took her to the bathroom. A few minutes later a hear Piper screaming and crying. I jumped up, asked someone to watch the kids, picked her up and took her out before she completely disrupted everything. I had no idea what happened. She had a small red place on her cheek that quickly became larger and swollen. One of the ladies sitting in the back came out and told me that she had tripped when she was walking back in to the chapel and hit the wooden edge of the chair. I felt so sorry for her. She was in pain and it wasn't her fault. I took her to mom and dad's where she snuggled up with Meghan and put ice on it. With a little attention from her cousins, aunts, and uncle, she was ready to go back to church. Her biggest concern was whether or not her cheek was still pretty. I assured her she was still pretty even with a boo boo.

Thank You

I have the best parents! I never would have survived wrestling season without their help. We have had wrestling tournaments almost every weekend since January. With Zack working weekends, he has not been able to attend. Most Saturdays we would leave our house around 6:00 or 6:30 (sometimes earlier) to make it to weigh-ins in time. If the tournament was close, my Dad would pick the boys up and take them to weigh-ins and the girls and I wouldn't have to be there till 8:00 or 8:30 when wrestling started. Mom would usually have the twins stay the night on Friday nights and keep them all day Saturday. Yes, I am spoiled!! We have traveled to Clarksville, Mt. Juliet, Tullahoma, Chattanooga, Cookeville, and Dickson to name a few. They have sacrificed their weekends for me and my boys!! I am so very grateful for all of their help and support. I know I am a very lucky girl to have parents who are willing and able to be so involved in the lives of their grandchildren.

Now it is time for baseball and soccer with a little wrestling thrown in the mix!! As busy as these things keep us, I absolutely love it!!

We are going to the Opera

Mia is one of ten students that have been chosen to be in a ballet for The Nashville Opera. The opera, Andrea Chenier, will open in early October at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center in Nashville. She will have the wonderful opportunity to be working with a professional cast, director, and maestro. The opportunity she has to work with a professional company will be an exciting and educational experience.

Mia has a love for dance and even more loves to be on a stage. This is a dream come true for her. We are so excited for her!

My baby is 1

Our sweet little Adaleigh turned 1 on March 4. It makes me so sad that my baby is getting so big. It is helpful that she is still so little and snugly. Adaleigh has the sweetest personality. She is almost always smiling showing off her mouthful of big white teeth. She loves to play right along side her brothers and sisters. She is one spoiled little girl that is loved on constantly. You can see her long eyelashes and big beautiful teeth in this picture.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

Mia came home last week and said, "Mom I think I may have gotten you too much work." I didn't understand what she meant then she explained that she had promised two of her friends that I would make them all shirts for Dr. Seuss character dress up day. (She is only taking after me as I volunteered my mom to do everything.) They had decided they wanted to be Thing 1, Thing 2, and Thing 3. Unfortunately Thing 3 was sick today and not able to come to school. There were lots of "Things" at school today, but these two were the cutest!! Mia definitely had the best hair. It was as crazy as we could make it!! It was worth the thirty minutes it took to get all the blue and tangles out.
