Freeze Out

These crazy boys played freeze out from my house (mom and dad's house) to mom and dad's house (Trip and Jen's house). They took their shirts off and rolled the windows down and rode the entire way to mom and dad's house that way. When we got to the end of their street they got out and ran the rest of the way. It was 35 degrees outside!! I was absolutely freezing and I had all my clothes on, my window up, and my seat heater on. They will probably be sick next week, but they sure did enjoy it!! CRAZY BOYS!!!

Thanksgiving Feast

Today was the Kindergarten Thanksgiving feast. I was in charge of organizing the feast. Thankfully there are other wonderful moms who made all the delicious food. I just had to get all the food assignments made, decorating done, and food on the table. On our way to school this morning, Landon was talking about how first grade had their feast and program on Friday. It all of a sudden dawned on me that I would be doing this feast for the next five years. Now that I have one year under my belt, I feel better prepared for the next five. I will organize any day over having to cook, especially for fifty other people.

Today also made me realize how very thankful I am that I am able to help in their classrooms. My mom never missed anything and still doesn't for that matter. She was by my side today helping in every way. I don't know how she did it. I do miss alot of their activities, but I try to make it to as much as I can. I am also grateful that they want me there.

As I was standing in the parking lot talking to another mom, I hear Landon yelling for me. He wasn't very close but wanted to say hi and wave. He happened to be walking next to the son of the mother I was talking to. Her son put his head down and didn't say anything. I am thankful for the great children I have. They each have such different personalities, but I love them for that!!

Adaleigh walked over to the porch and said, "CHEESE".
She was not going in the leaves for a picture.

Halloween Pictures

Thank you Meghan!!!

Note from Teacher

"Please stop talking in the hallway. Thank you." My child's response, "But I wasn't talking, all I said was...." Am I the only one who finds this contradictory.

Fall

I was a horrible mom this year and did not take a single Halloween picture. No excuse is good enough but it had been a busy, busy week. Between Dance Observations, Field Trips, and Fall Classroom parties to organize I was beat by the weekend.

I told the kids we were not buying any costumes this year. We had enough in the house and they were creative enough on their own. Friday night I took the older three to the trunk-or-treat at church. They were a good cowboy, a bad cowboy, and a pink power ranger. Saturday night Landon and Mia went to a Halloween party with Meghan and Josiah. After making Josiah a costume, they decided they wanted to go along with the Snow White theme so they threw their costumes together in about 10 minutes (Mia has a talent of squeezing into anything. It does not matter what size it is if she wants to wear it she will find a way). Sunday night we made our rounds to the family and they were Men in Black (Landon just kept his black suit on from church), Bat girl, some combination of costumes, Spiderman, Rapunzel, and a bunny. I am so hoping Meghan has more pictures that I can steal. If not we will have the memories.

This is my favorite time of year but also the busiest time of year. The 1st of November means the beginning of wrestling season around here. I love wrestling season. Landon, Logan, and Zack all hit the mats Monday night. Zack wrestled with one of the middle school boys all night. It was so fun to watch all three wrestle.
