Baby update

I have had several phone calls and emails wondering what the latest is with the baby. As of today I am 38 weeks and 2 days and absolutely nothing is happening. I know how much harder it is when they come out so I am not upset about this at all. With every other pregnancy I have dilated weeks in advance. The doctor did tell me today that they would let me go 10 days past my due date, but that was it. So right now I am not in a hurry. I feel great so I am just going to enjoy it while I can. The baby will come when the baby is ready to come (which isn't always when I think it should come).

Landon's Baptism

Landon was so excited to turn 8 because he knew he could be baptized. We had a great baptism Saturday afternoon with lots of family and friends in attendance. Landon had asked his cousin Kyler to give the talk on the Holy Ghost and he did an awesome job. He said he was nervous but we could not tell. We are so proud of Landon and the decisions he has made in his life. He is a great example to all of us.
After the baptism, we headed to our house for pizza, cake, and ice cream. This is a picture of just a few of the cousins that were there all waiting to cut into the big batman cake. Landon was so thankful for all of the friends and family who came to help celebrate in this special time.

Wrestling Tournament

Saturday Landon wrestled in his first wrestling tournament this season. He did a great job! He pinned in all three of his matches. He was very excited!!

Landon's 8th Birthday

Last weekend was a busy weekend. Friday was Landon's 8th birthday. I can't believe my little boy is eight years old. He got the best birthday present on Thursday night when we received a phone call that there would not be school on Friday due to extremely cold weather. I know lots of people thought it was crazy to get out of school because of cold weather, but let me tell you this little boy has some powerful prayers and lots of faith. He really wanted out of school on his birthday and his wish came true.

Landon is a great kid!! He has always been good. He strives to always choose the right and expects nothing less from anyone around him. One night when riding with Zack he looked over at the speedometer and asked Zack how fast he was driving. Zack told him 40mph. He said Dad you should only be going 30mph. Zack asked Landon if he had seen a sign and Landon replied, "No, but it is best to just go 30 until you do see a sign." Landon is the best big brother. He takes very good care of all his brothers and sisters. He handles the responsibility of being the oldest very well and takes time to teach and play with his siblings. Landon is very creative, like his daddy. He loves to write stories, build things, draw, do origami, and play sports. He has a love for animals. He does not have any pets and probably will never have pets because I do not share that same love, but he does have a job walking the neighbors dog twice a week. We love our Landon and feel so very blessed to have him as our son!!

Binkies and Blankies No More

Hopefully this post will not backfire on me. Today is the third day Piper and Cy have been without their binkies and blankies. I don't even think they have missed them. Cy has not said one thing about them (yes, he does talk just not when strangers are around). Piper has asked a few times for her binkie and blankie, but that is it. They have actually napped better and continue to go to bed great at night. My intentions were not to take both away. I was still going to let them have their blankets at nap time, but then I realized they associate the one with the other. I am just grateful for the success! Now I just hope moving them into a toddler bed or whatever bed we are moving them to is as easy!!
These pictures don't have anything to do with this post. I just thought I would add them. Cy and Piper have their binkies in their mouths as they were seen a majority of the time.
