No luck this time

This is Logan's Leprechaun trap he had to make for school. Logan has been home sick all week and was very concerned about getting it to school in time. Supposedly there have been Leprechauns wrecking havoc in the school. The kindergartners were trying to catch them. Thankfully Mia wasn't sick and she was able to take his trap into school for him.

I am so grateful my boys have some creativity. I don't, so I get all my ideas off the internet. I tried showing Logan the cute simple ideas I found, but he wasn't having it. He had already drawn out what he wanted and knew in his head. Thankfully Daddy is creative and was able to help him pull his idea off. He is upset he didn't catch a Leprechaun, but wasn't really sure what he was going to do with one if he did.

Yipee...

I get my cast off today!!!
And there is her arm!!

She wasn't so sure when they took the cast off. She stared at her arm for the longest time and just kept saying yucky! Her skin is very dry from the cast. When we got home, her cast was on the counter. She grabbed it off the counter and said on. She wanted it back on. True female...she doesn't know what she wants! She is slowly adjusting to using both arms. I am sure by tomorrow she won't even remember she had a cast on.

Yard Work

Granddaddy came over on Saturday for a full day of yard work. Cy loves working in the yard with granddaddy.

At the end of the day, Cy got his turn on the mower. Cy was trying to take complete control of the mower. He would move the handles to make it go as fast as it could and then put his knees up so Dad couldn't slow it down. He's a strong boy. He finally lost his mower privileges.

Here don't want it!

I went to get Adaleigh out of bed after her nap. With her cast in her hand, she hands it to me and said, "Here don't want it!" It didn't take that little stinker long to get it off. We have been sliding it back on all day only for her to pull it back off.

Because...

an ambulance ride, ER visit, MRI, two weeks of not working, and a broken down truck weren't enough for me to handle. Our sweet Adaleigh fell off the dresser and fractured both bones in her wrist. Now she is sporting a pretty pink cast. She was a perfect angel today with multiple doctor visits, having x-rays done twice, and having the cast put on. But as soon as the lady was done with the cast Adaleigh politely informed everyone she wanted it off. She tried to convince the doctor, nurses, and anyone on the elevator who would listen that she wanted it off. I think now she is finally getting use to it. She is back to climbing on everything!!

Snow, Snow, Snow

We got about four inches of snow last night!! The younger kids lasted a few hours with playing and helping with the igloo. Zack, Landon, and Mia were devoted to getting the igloo done. After many hours of working they were finally finished.

We are enjoying our snow day and already know we get another day off tomorrow!! YIPEE!!
