Heath and Logan

I had the great privilege of watching Heath last week. Mom is in Utah, so we had Heath Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I only took one picture. I had gone upstairs to put the babies down for their nap. When I came out, I did not hear the boys. They were very quiet. My thoughts were "Oh no, what have they gotten into now?" I went downstairs to see what was going on and this is what I found...

Needless to say I was very relieved! Logan and Heath played great together. They are either both getting much better or Heavenly Father knew I couldn't handle it any other way.

Happy Anniversary

Zack and I have been married for nine years today! It has been a great nine years. I feel so fortunate to be married to such a wonderful guy (most of the time anyway). We have been blessed with 5 great children. Zack is not a man of many words or much emotion, but he is a great balance for me who is full of words and emotion. He loves me even though I'm crazy and stubborn. He supports me in all I do. When I take on a challenge, he does not doubt me instead he cheers me to the end. I love him for who he is and for him allowing me to be who I am. Happy Anniversary, Zack!! I LOVE YOU!!!

Warning!!!!

This book is not intended for a true "Wild Child". "Time for bed," Mother Earth said.
"Not for a while," said her wild child.
"A song, first. I need a song to play in my head before going to bed."

So Mother Earth gave her child a song...

But then this wild child wants a snack and PJs and a kiss...

Mama Mary gave the kids this book. We read it last night. It is a cute book, so I thought until it was bedtime. When I told the kids it was bedtime, Mia said, "I need nighttime music first. I am going to do everything the child did in the book." (I am sure those of you who know Mia can visualize her facial expressions and hear her tone while she is saying this.) She was serious. Bedtime is a struggle for her without the influence of this book. She didn't get her way but eventually went to sleep just fine. I love my "Wild Child"! Mama Mary did get a phone call from me!

Busted in a lie

I was reminded today of something that happened this weekend. I didn't really lie; I just stretched the truth a little. I made taco soup for dinner last week. Mia was being difficult and saying she didn't like it and wasn't going to eat. I said that is fine but that I thought it was Kierstyn's favorite. She sat right up and decided she wanted a big bowl full. (If it is good for Kierstyn, then it is good for Mia.) She loved it just as I knew she did. When Kierstyn was here this weekend, we still had leftovers in the refrigerator. Mia got so excited and told Kierstyn to look in the refrigerator because we had her favorite food. Kierstyn had no idea what Mia was talking about. Luckily Mia didn't catch on too much. She continues to ask for taco soup everyday sometimes even for breakfast.

Wild Weekend

We had Kierstyn and Kyler come stay with us this weekend. It was a great weekend. It was so easy because the kids are so much older they can entertain themselves. We did not do any cute crafts or fun activities. You have to go to Jen's house to get those things. I was pretty proud of myself that I got them all fed and where we needed to be when we needed to be there. Mia and Landon had their last soccer games. Yipppeeee!!!! It was a great soccer season, but I am glad it is over. We are ready for wrestling season!!

Kierstyn played mommy all weekend. She was a great help!! (Cy has the wrong binkie.)

Halloween Fun!!!

We all gathered at mom and dad's house after school to go trick-or-treating around the square. What were we thinking? It was crazy, but the kids were very well behaved and seem to have a great time.

Chase-George Washington, Landon-Aniken, Cy-Pumpkin, Caroline- Princess, Connor-Firefighter, Mia-Cheetah girl, Heath-bear

Logan-tiger

We had some very tired trick-or-treaters by the end of the night.
